United Martial Arts incorporates a combination of techniques and principles from a variety of Martial Arts styles including Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Hapkido, and weapons all of which provide our students with a well-balanced, "street smart" self-defense system. Most other styles of martial arts tend to focus on just individual areas of self-defense. Combining the best of many styles into a blended system gives UMAC students the advantage they need to protect themselves in virtually any situation.
Our program is a total fitness package combining strength, endurance and flexibility . We incorporate the latest exercise physiology, which assists in the development of all your muscular systems, building greater strength and definition. We give you excellent cardiovascular conditioning, expanding your heart and lung's capacity while you burn off calories. The result is a tremendous increase in energy, giving you what you need to last all day long. Each class also includes a variety of stretching exercises that help you to avoid injuries and keep you feeling young and agile.

~ Women’s Self- Defense ~

This self-defense seminar is entirely different from most self-defense classes (especially for women) because it was created by, and is instructed by, a woman.
•Self Defense doesn’t have to be hard core, attack driven or frightening!
•By using empathy, humor, simple techniques and real life success stories, the instructor provides methods that can stop a potential attack before it starts.
•Seminar will also cover ways of assessing dangers of would-be attackers, and finding non-confrontational methods of dealing with uncomfortable situations!
•Everyone should learn the basics of Self Defense...how predators think, what they look for, and how to PREVENT an attack!
This class also focuses on things women face on a daily basis...comments and actions...made to make them feel uncomfortable. We'll show you how to react positively to those experiences!

Theresa Byrne, a 15 yr. veteran of Martial Arts & a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon-Do Incorporating self-defense components from a variety of martial art disciplines, this seminar offers the student the Best of the Best.
